These survival bags are the best, I bought the cheapest one just to try it but it was amazing so I got one up and it’s even better, I just need the big one to see if I get 3 for 3 right, but so far I really appreciate it guys!!!

The items for the most part are very good. This kit is good as a starter 72 hour bag, or for someone who doesn’t want to take the time to custom make a pack. This pack should get you by for 3 or 4 days just fine.

Full disclosure first: I purchased an open box “used” two person kit for a substantial discount.

I am in love with this bag. In an emergency, you’d probably get by with what’s in the bag. The other stuff you’d want to add (ultralight sleeping bag, ultralight tent, respirator, clothes) are all stuff you’d want to customize anyway. Like others have said, I had to take a moment to figure out the stove. You just light a small fire in it to cook, putting it together was a little tricky. The cartons of water are the heaviest items in the bag. The life straw is a great quality item in its own, and it’s inclusion in this kit saves you a lot of money. The cookware is super nice and would also be pricey on its own.

We had a power outage one night for a few hours, and I couldn’t find my one tiny flashlight or a lighter for any of my candles…the next day I ordered this go bag because that simple power outage made me realize how ill-prepared I was for anything to go wrong! Being a single mother in a new area, I need to rely on myself quite a bit to get things done on my own. This is one of those things that I put in the back of my mind on my to-do list, but I have never actually prepared for a big emergency. I found this bag in my online search, and it covers almost everything. It has almost all things I will need for myself and my son, and then some.
